You know what I love most about Mondays?
I wake up with anticipation. I have orders that need to be filled. There’s nothing like grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning to accompany my reading from the Bible before firing up the mill. The air is cool. There’s dew in the grass. And I can’t wait to run that first log through the mill.
Why do I do this?
I love seeing what the inside of a log looks like. I love the smell of fresh cut fir or pine. I smile at the end of the day knowing an order has been filled and a customer has a precisely cut order ready for them ahead of schedule.

I am 32 years old and God has blessed me with a beautiful wife. We have been married for 10 years. We have 3 beautiful children and I love that I am able to work from home and be with my family every day.
Some of the things I enjoy doing when I have time are fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and elk hunting. I also enjoy deer hunting which may be a little odd here in the West, but this young man grew up back east running the woods chasing white tails and they still get my heart racing.
Maybe the oddest thing about me is that work is the best way I know to relieve stress.
